The valleys where this language is spoken are: Val Badia, Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Cortina d&#8217;Ampezzo, Val di Fodom, Comelico, Cadore, Agordino e Val di Zoldo.<\/p>\n<p>The Ladin language was born when the Roman Empire extended onto the Alps in 15 b.C.\u00a0 Here Reti people acquired the Latin language which developed in\u00a0 into a Ladin language ( retoromancio)[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;28px&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h5>Some History<\/h5>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;2px&#8221;][vc_column_text]Ladin is a real language and not only an Italian dialect. There is a great debate on the identity of this language. Someone considers it as a <em>poor barbarous dialect <\/em>which must be cleaned, other consider it as a pure indipendent language.<\/p>\n<p>Ladin language has many rules which come from the Romance or German tongues and are not typical of the Italian Language, and this is the reason why it can be considered as an indipendent language.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">During Fascism Ladin was defined as a &#8220;Grey stain&#8221; that should have been taken off.
