Fat tyre fans will find plenty of MTB itineraries in and around Falcade and the Biois Valley, from easier routes on the valley bottom to the adrenalin rush of the more challenging trails higher up.
From the old shepherds’ shelters of the Valfreda to the Gares waterfalls, you’ll be spoilt for choice, with routes of varying difficulty that wind their way through woodland, alongside mountain streams and across pastureland, with comfortable restaurants and refreshment facilities along the way.

If you’re new to MTB, you can start by pedalling along the easy path that runs around the Falcade Plain, leading to Canale d’Agordo and on towards Cencenighe Agordino.
The more experienced, who will enjoy pedalling up in the mountains, can take the lift facilities, which are also open during the summer and carry bikes for free, choosing from the Molino-Le Buse gondola lift, the Le Buse – Laresei chairlift and the Col Margherita cableway.

From the peak, numerous thrilling, thoroughly satisfying routes set out.
Both in the valley and in the mountains, you can stop along the way to relax and enjoy a bite to eat in the many refuges, mountain huts, restaurants and bars.
Falcade offers all the services necessary for a holiday on two wheels, from the accommodation organised specially for bikers to the shops where you can hire MTBs and buy equipment, as well as assistance and repair points.

If you’re not quite fit or experienced enough to tackle these routes by MTB, you might like to choose the increasingly popular option of hiring an e-bike, which allows you to pedal efficiently without too much effort. All the routes suggested are also suitable for electric bikes.
